Finding concrete ways to express who you are and what you want to get out of life can be a game changer. This visioning exercise helps team members articulate what makes them excited and puts them on a path to manifesting their dreams. This self-knowledge is contagious — in a very positive way. Better yet, by sharing this self-knowledge, teams are equipped to support each other in lifetime goals.
For You
Get a big piece of butcher paper or a large poster board. Now start building your visioning board. Get chips from a paint store. Clip pages from a magazine. Find photos of you with family and friends that make you happy. Then tack these onto your visioning board. Grab a magic marker and write the words that come to mind, like “joy,” “laughter,” or “nature.”
For Your Team
At a team meeting, share your visioning board with your team. Ask them if they see you in a different way. Then hand each member a blank piece of poster paper and encourage them to start their own visioning board. In a week or two, set up another team meeting where each team member shares their board. Start a conversation about big dreams and lifetime goals.
